4th Meeting of the 174th Session (1994-1995)
The Reid and Auld Prize Lecture
Joint lecture with the Scottish Branch of the British Horolgical Institute
The second meeting of the session will be held within Merchiston Campus of Napier University on Monday 9th January 1995 at 7pm.
The mechanics of horology are a mystery to most people. Even those who understand the principles find it hard to demonstrate and explain some of the complex mechanisms.
Mr Redfern has broadened his long established clock and watch making skills to become and acknowledged expert in dynamic, computer graphic representation of clock and watch mechanisms.
In addition to showing several clock and watch experiments, the lecturer will explain the basic principles of animated computer graphics and also show examples of his other work in the field of engineering and archaeology.
