Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the 196th Session held at 7.00pm on Monday 5th June 2017 in the Augustine United Church, 41 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh. EH1 1EL.

1. Apologies for absence
   Dr Diana Brown, Dr Dick Burtles, Mrs Sheila Burtles, Professor Jim Floyd, Mr John Lovell, Dr Carol Marsh, Mr Ian Philip, Mrs Marie Philip, Dr Jane Ridder Patrick, Professor Eric Salzen, Dr Heather Salzen, Dr Isabel Smith.
2. Minutes of the AGM held on Monday 6th June 2016i
   The minutes were presented and adopted as a correct record of the proceedings
3. Annual Report of the Council for the year ended 30th September 2016
   The Annual Report was presented by Mr Graham Rule, Treasurer.
4. President’s Report
   The President, Professor Stuart Monro reported on the activities of the 196th Session of the Society and was pleased to record another successful programme of lectures and visits, He also asked Fellows to note that in the course of the year of donation of £2000 had been made to the Robotics Unit at Heriot-Watt University.
5. Election of Officers
   Dr Alison-Morrison Low was proposed by Council as President, and Dr Beverly Bergman and Professor Jim Floyd as Vice Presidents; the proposals were agreed unanimously by a show of hands.
   Dr Morrison-Low on taking up the position of President, wished, on behalf of all the Fellows, to thank Professor Monro for his significant contribution to the Society, not only duringr his recent tenure as President but over many past years.
6. A.O.R.B
   The being no other matters raised, the President closed the meeting and Fellows proceeded to the social part of the evening.
